The annual Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Food Fest took place in a different format this year. Cars lined up in the church parking lot to form an outstanding drive-thru food line! Myself and several other scouts and youth members of the church helped out by taking orders from the front desk, gathering the food items, and packing them in each car. Although the process seemed simple, there were many things that could have gone wrong such as mixing up orders and placing them in the wrong car. However, myself and my peers worked hard. I enjoyed feeling involved and helping my community among others to ensure everything went smoothly. Overall I viewed it as a huge success and although it wasn’t our normal great Armenian Fest at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet, it was a great alternative! We all worked together from cooking the food, to packaging it, to delivering to the car, and finally cleaning everything to make sure that the Armenian Fest was a success. Together we were able to deliver over 500 meals!
